About Us

“For there is always light,
if only we’re brave enough to see it.
If only we’re brave enough to be it.”

-Amanda Gorman

The NFH Foundation is a dynamic international nonprofit organization committed to empowering vulnerable and marginalized communities. As a recognized 501(c)(3) by the IRS, we champion social justice, human rights, and equality, focusing on combating gender-based violence and homelessness. Founded on rigorous research, impactful pilot programs, and unwavering principles of compassion and equity, we have already touched the lives of over 5,000 individuals through human rights conferences, direct support, and strategic collaborations. Our approach is rooted in understanding the unique needs of our communities and developing effective community-driven solutions that foster lasting change.

In our formative year, we have forged critical partnerships, including a significant collaboration with the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) in Ghana, establishing our international presence and amplifying our impact. Despite initial funding challenges, our dedication has remained steadfast, driven by the undeniable success of our pilot programs and the urgent need for our work. Looking ahead, we are committed to ambitious growth and expanded services. With the continued support of our partners, the NFH Foundation is poised to be a powerful force for positive change, ensuring justice and equality prevail and building a future where vulnerable individuals can thrive. We are confident that the NFH Foundation will make a profound and lasting difference in the lives of the marginalized communities we serve.

Vision

The NFH Foundation envisions a world of dignity, safety, and equal opportunity for all. We envision domestic violence survivors and displaced individuals empowered and equipped to achieve independent living and economic stability through comprehensive support, education, and advocacy.

Mission

Our Mission is to dismantle systemic barriers of poverty, marginalization, and violence by creating communities where social justice and human rights are lived realities. We empower survivors, support displaced individuals, and enable women-led households to achieve. Ultimately, we champion the well-being of our most vulnerable, ensuring everyone can reach their best life.

Valued

We recognize and celebrate the unique contributions, talents, and strengths of each person. We believe that every individual has intrinsic worth and plays a vital role in the broader community. We commit to fostering a culture of appreciation and acknowledging the positive impact individuals have.

Secured

We are committed to creating safe and stable environments where individuals feel protected and have their fundamental needs met. This includes ensuring physical, emotional, and social well-being, providing a foundation of stability from which individuals can heal and thrive.

Restoration

By consistently upholding the principles of respect, empowerment, valuing, and security, the NFH Foundation believes that individuals can experience holistic restoration. This encompasses healing from past trauma, reclaiming their sense of self-worth, building resilience, and actively participating in their communities with renewed hope and purpose. Our collective efforts, grounded in these principles, aim to facilitate this journey of recovery and renewal.
